Start with baby clothes.

Expecting a baby, buying a gift, or just starting out? You do not need a bag of outgrown clothes before you can come to Het Gele Laarsje.

With the small-size munt, you can choose 10 preloved baby items in sizes 50, 56, or 62 for EUR20. Later, when those clothes are too small, you can bring them back and start swapping for the next sizes.

Start with the small sizes.

Baby sizes are worn for such a short time that many pieces still have plenty of life left. Het Gele Laarsje often has many small sizes, while the biggest children's sizes are harder to keep in stock.

This baby route is for expecting parents, people buying a gift, and people who do not have swap clothes yet. It is still part of the same local clothing loop, just with a simpler first step.

How it works.

You do not need to register. You do not need to bring clothes if you are only buying baby sizes.

  1. Come on the third Monday

Come to Het Gele Laarsje during the monthly swap evening.

  2. Go to check-in

If you are only buying baby clothes and not swapping, go straight to check-in and say you are there for baby clothes.

  3. Get the munt

Pay EUR20 for the small-size munt, or bring the munt if you received one as a gift.

  4. Use a temporary bag

Your own bag can be kept safely while you browse with a roomy temporary bag.

  5. Choose 10 items

Pick 10 baby items in sizes 50, 56, or 62 from the baby racks near the beginning.

  6. Check the extras

Socks and hats are free. It is also worth checking shoes and swimwear.

  7. Hand in the munt

At checkout, hand in the munt and take the selected baby clothes home.

What you might find.

The exact selection changes every event, but small baby sizes are usually well stocked.

Clothes and soft items

Jumpers, trousers, rompers, shirts, slippers, and sleeping bags can all be part of the baby selection.

Changing styles

Some pieces are simple, some are sweet, and some are more playful. Instagram can show current examples before you come.

Only small sizes

Sizes above 62 are not sold this way. They belong to the swap system because Het Gele Laarsje is mainly a clothing swap.

A gift option.

The small-size munt can also be a baby shower gift, or a present for a friend, colleague, or family member.

The munt works like a small gift card: the person who receives it can choose 10 baby items in sizes 50, 56, or 62 during one of the swap evenings. If you want the munt mailed to you, email first.

Why the baby munt exists.

The small-size munt helps close the loop. Your EUR20 starts someone with preloved baby clothes and helps Het Gele Laarsje buy in the largest sizes, especially size 134, where people cannot really swap upward anymore.

Those clothes can come back later, and from there you can keep swapping into bigger sizes for years. Because the clothes are preloved and local, no new item has to be made for that outfit.

Quick answers.

These are the boundary points that matter before you come.

Can I buy sizes above 62?

No. Sizes above 62 are part of the swap system.

Can I skip the queue?

Only if you are buying baby clothes and not also swapping. If you brought clothes to swap, follow the normal swap check-in flow.

Will there always be enough choice?

There are usually many small baby sizes, but exact styles and items change every event. Use Instagram for current photos if you want a quick look before coming.
